Weather data by Open-Meteo.com (CC BY 4.0). The shaded part is the forecast. Tides are official predictions from the Canadian Hydrographic Service (Fisheries and Oceans Canada) where a tide station is near the community, given in metres above chart datum like the printed tide tables. Where there is no station nearby, the tide is an estimate from the Open-Meteo marine model, marked "est.". Predictions do not include the effect of wind, storms or ice. The official Canadian Tide and Current Tables prevail; check them at tides.gc.ca.

"Can speak" is from the 2021 Census (children 0–14, elders 65+). "Most at home" shows the latest year available for each region.
Many families report that youth now speak English with each other, even when they can speak Inuktut. The census does not ask which language people use with friends, so this change does not show up in the numbers yet.
Projection: the shaded band continues the measured trend in two ways, at the slower 2001–2021 pace and at the faster 2016–2021 pace. It is an estimate, not a measurement, and will be replaced by the 2026 Census language results (September 8, 2027). The 2021 Census changed its home-language questions, so 2021 is not exactly comparable with earlier years.
